Our Potential For Greatness
Did you realize that every human born has the potential for greatness? In your case, has your circumstances in life limited your mind into thinking otherwise? Life is often difficult, and most specially hard for the poor. Yet the poor are the closest people to God (Psalm 72:12-14). And if you are with God, everything is possible for you (Matthew 19:26)! In addition to the joy of being saved, another good news after your acceptance of our Lord Jesus Christ starts your life in a new slate. You might not fully realize it, but now you have instantly become very rich! Why? Because now you belong to Christ. And while your main motivation for accepting Christ gift is the love of God and eternal life, part of your real inheritance (apart from God being your portion) are the treasures being saved for you at your eternal destination, which is in Heaven. You may not “yet” be enjoying it at the moment, but this also does not mean that you will not be blessed here on earth. If you live your life according to His statutes, God promises His children to at least meet our basic needs. If we obey and follow Him, God will bless your life abundantly, give you true rest and fill your heart with joy in Him. If you keep yourself busy with the matters of His concerns, He will equip you with what you need to fulfill His purpose.
This then begs the question; “Do you know His purpose for your life?” The Bible clearly tell us that each member of Christ body has been gifted by the Holy Spirit to fulfill their part in serving God to bring honor and glory to His name (1 Corinthians 12:1-11). Do not limit your thinking to the things you currently physically see or understand. Your trials are meant to draw you closer unto God. He is a very personal God. He wants you to have a close relationship with Him. He is calling you to know Him and His purpose for your life. He will never waste your life if you respond to His calling. Pray with all your heart to ask God to make you to be your best. This is His Will for you as His child.
For God is the creator of all things, who loves you dearly. And that is why He has been calling you. If your life is wasting away, it should not be so. You need to find your way back to Him. You are not an accident, for He knew His children even before we were born (Jeremiah 1:5). He owns everything in this vast universe and wants to put you in charge to be His Light and Salt of the Earth. Realize that you have now become His ambassador on earth (2 Corinthians 5:20). Believe and ask God to direct you of His ways and what to do next. Be busy after His Work! Believe that He blesses those who trust in Him (Psalm 40:4), rewards those who puts their faith in Him (Hebrews 11:6), who loves Him above all. So cling unto our Lord Jesus, for He is our true and great provider (Philippians 4:19). Put Him first above all and everything will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).
